* The timing chain marks are located on the camshaft sprockets and the crankshaft sprocket.
* The camshaft sprocket marks are two small dots, one on each sprocket.
* The crankshaft sprocket mark is a single dot.
* When the timing chain is correctly installed, the marks on the camshaft sprockets will align with the marks on the crankshaft sprocket.
Valve Diagram Marks
* The valve diagram marks are located on the head of the cylinder.
* There are two marks, one for the intake valve and one for the exhaust valve.
* The marks are small circles with a line through them.
* When the valves are correctly installed, the marks on the head of the cylinder will align with the marks on the camshaft sprockets.
Installation
1. Remove the valve cover.
2. Rotate the crankshaft so that the piston in the first cylinder is at top dead center (TDC).
3. Align the timing chain marks on the camshaft sprockets with the marks on the crankshaft sprocket.
4. Install the valve cover.
Note:
* If the timing chain is not correctly installed, the engine will not run properly.
* If the valves are not correctly installed, the engine will not run at all.
