2. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is usually located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the back of the engine.
3. Pull the dipstick out and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.
4. If the fluid level is low, add the recommended type of transmission fluid through the dipstick tube.
5. Check the fluid level again and add more fluid if necessary.
6. Replace the dipstick and close the hood.
