Where is the coolant drain plugs on a Toyota Tundra V8 engine?

For 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra V8 engines:

- There is a drain in the radiator bottom on the driver's side. Remove the radiator cap, then the drain plug. This will drain most of the coolant from the engine, but not the block.

- To drain the block, remove the freeze plugs in the back of the block, below the cylinder heads.

For 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra V8 engines:

- There is a single drain plug on the rear of the engine, below the thermostat and a little higher than the oil filter.

- To access this drain plug, you may need to remove some accessories, such as the air intake tube.

Note:

- Be sure to replace the drain plugs before adding new coolant.

- Be aware of the fluid temperatures as serious injuries may occur.
