2. Press the brake shoes with a C-clamp, install them into position and insert the hold down pin with cotter pin.
3. Insert the wheel cylinder onto the backing plate and use the bolts and nuts provided to secure it in place.
4. Attach the brake drum and place the lug nuts back onto the studs by hand.
5. Slowly and alternately tighten the lug nuts with a wrench until the brake drum is snug against the backing plate.
6. Lower the vehicle and remove the jack stands.
7. Test the brakes to ensure that they are working properly.
