Do you have to lift the engine in order replace freeze plugs a 95 3000gt?

It is not necessary to remove the engine or transmission in order to change freeze plugs on a 95 Dodge Stealth or Mitsubishi 3000GT. You will need to remove the valve covers, fuel rail and intake plenum to gain access to the freeze plugs on both the front and rear heads of the engine. You may need to pry one of the cam gears slightly (1994-1996) to move the cam out of the way to replace the the freeze plugs behind the camshaft gear. Some of the freeze plugs may be difficult to access and remove but it can be done without lifting the engine.
