a) Ensure the vehicle's engine is running and the headlights are turned on (dipped beams/low beams).
b) Locate the steering column lever on the left side of the steering wheel.
c) Push the lever forward towards the dashboard. This action will activate the high beams. The blue high beam indicator light will illuminate on your instrument cluster to confirm that the high beams are on.
Alternatively:
- Some newer Subaru Forester models may use a "push-push" style switch on the end of the turn signal lever. Push this switch once to activate the high beams and push it again to turn them off.
Note: Please be aware of oncoming traffic and road signs when using high beams. It's recommended to switch back to dipped beams in well-lit areas and traffic to avoid dazzling other drivers.
