1. Open the fuse box. The fuse box is located on the passenger's side of the car, under the dashboard. To open the fuse box, press the release tab and pull the cover off.
2. Check the fuses. The fuses are located in two rows inside the fuse box. Each fuse has a number and a rating printed on it. If a fuse is blown, the metal filament inside will be broken.
3. Replace a blown fuse. To replace a blown fuse, use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the old fuse from the fuse box. Then, insert a new fuse of the same size and rating into the fuse box.
4. Close the fuse box. Once you have replaced all of the blown fuses, close the fuse box by snapping the cover back on.
Here are some additional tips for checking and changing fuses on a 1995 Toyota Tercel:
* If you are not sure which fuse is blown, you can use a multimeter to test the fuses. To do this, set the multimeter to the continuity setting and touch one probe to each terminal of the fuse. If the multimeter beeps, the fuse is good. If the multimeter does not beep, the fuse is blown.
* Always use the correct size and type of fuse when replacing a blown fuse. Using a fuse that is too small or too large could damage the electrical system of your car.
* If you are frequently blowing fuses, there may be an underlying electrical problem with your car. It is important to have your car inspected by a qualified mechanic if you are blowing fuses frequently.
