1) Air in the fuel line. When you run out of gas, air can get into the fuel line and prevent the engine from getting the fuel it needs to start. To fix this, you will need to bleed the air from the fuel line. This can be done by loosening the fuel line connection at the fuel injector rail and cranking the engine over until fuel comes out. Be sure to tighten the fuel line connection before starting the engine.
2) Clogged fuel filter. A clogged fuel filter can restrict the flow of fuel to the engine, causing it to stall or not start. To fix this, you will need to replace the fuel filter.
3) Failed fuel pump. A failed fuel pump will not be able to deliver fuel to the engine, causing it to stall or not start. To fix this, you will need to replace the fuel pump.
4) Faulty fuel injector. A faulty fuel injector will not be able to deliver fuel to the engine, causing it to stall or not start. To fix this, you will need to replace the faulty fuel injector.
