1. Remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse block to prevent the fuel pump from activating.
2. Engage parking brake and chock the rear wheels.
3. Raise and support the vehicle
4. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
5. Remove the fuel filler door and door seal if present.
6. Remove the screws from the fuel tank filler neck and remove the fuel filler neck.
7. Remove the rear seat cushion.
8. Remove the seat belt tower cover from both sides of the vehicle.
9. Remove the bolts holding the fuel sending unit retaining ring to the fuel tank on both driver and passenger sides.
10. Remove the fuel sending unit retaining ring from the vehicle.
11. Disconnect fuel lines from the sending unit.
12. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel sending unit.
13. Remove the fuel sending unit.
14. Install the fuel line bracket (for vehicles with AWD & turbo) onto new fuel sending unit.
15. Install new “O” ring onto fuel sending unit.
16. Install new sender in the reverse of removal procedure.
Be sure to replace "O" rings between the fuel sender and the fuel tank on both sides. They are not included in the fuel sender "kit".
