1. Park your vehicle on a level surface. Make sure the engine is turned off and has had enough time to cool down.
2. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick on the side of the engine or near the transmission. The dipstick is usually marked with a yellow or red handle.
3. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag or tissue.
4. Insert the dipstick back into the transmission fluid dipstick tube until it bottoms out.
5. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick. If the fluid level is low, you'll need to add some transmission fluid.
6. To add transmission fluid, use the recommended type of fluid for your vehicle and follow the instructions in the owner's manual. Do not overfill the transmission fluid.
7. Reinsert the dipstick and check the fluid level again to ensure it is between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks.
Remember, if the transmission fluid is milky or has a burnt smell, it may need to be replaced. It is recommended to consult with a qualified mechanic or refer to the owner's manual for detailed instructions and maintenance schedules.
