Step 1: Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
Step 2: Locate the stud bolts on the rotor. There will be two stud bolts on each rotor.
Step 3: Apply penetrating oil to the stud bolts and let it sit for a few minutes.
Step 4: Use the impact wrench and the appropriate socket to remove the lug nuts from the rotor.
Step 5: Slide the extension bar onto the socket wrench and attach the Allen wrench to the end of the extension bar.
Step 6: Insert the Allen wrench into the head of one of the stud bolts and turn it counterclockwise to remove the stud bolt.
Step 7: Repeat steps 5 and 6 to remove the other stud bolt from the rotor.
Here are some additional tips for removing stud bolts:
- If the stud bolts are rusted or corroded, you may need to use a penetrating oil or lubricant to loosen them.
- Be careful not to overtighten the stud bolts when reinstalling them. This could damage the threads.
