Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. This is important to prevent any electrical accidents from happening while you work.
2. Drain the oil from the engine. Place an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug and loosen the plug with a 17mm socket. Allow all of the oil to drain out.
3. Remove the oil filter. Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter and remove it. Be careful not to spill any oil.
4. Remove the oil pan. There are several 10mm bolts holding the oil pan in place. Use a 10mm socket to remove these bolts and then carefully remove the oil pan. Be careful not to drop any of the bolts into the oil pan.
5. Remove the oil pump. The oil pump is located on the front of the engine. There are several 12mm and 14mm bolts holding the oil pump in place. Use a 12mm and 14mm socket to remove these bolts and then carefully remove the oil pump. Be careful not to drop any of the bolts into the engine.
6. Inspect the oil pump. Check the oil pump for any damage or wear. If the oil pump is damaged or worn, it should be replaced.
7. Install the new oil pump. Place the new oil pump in position and secure it with the bolts that were removed in step 5. Tighten the bolts securely.
8. Install the new oil pump gasket. Place the new oil pump gasket between the oil pump and the engine.
9. Install the oil pan. Place the oil pan in position and secure it with the bolts that were removed in step 4. Tighten the bolts securely.
10. Replace the oil filter. Install the new oil filter by hand until it is snug. Do not overtighten the oil filter.
11. Add new oil to the engine. Add the amount of oil specified in your vehicle's owner's manual.
12. Start the engine and check for leaks. Let the engine run for a few minutes and check for any leaks. If there are any leaks, tighten the bolts until the leaks stop.
13. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
