- Blower motor: Check to see if the blower motor is working. If it is not, the fan will not turn on and you will not get any heat. You can check the blower motor by turning the ignition key to the "ON" position and then turning on the heater. If you do not hear the blower motor running, it may be faulty and need to be replaced.
- Fuse: Check the fuse for the heater. If the fuse is blown, the heater will not work. You can check the fuse by looking in the fuse box, which is usually located under the dashboard on the driver's side. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.
- Heater control valve: The heater control valve regulates the flow of hot water from the engine to the heater core. If the heater control valve is faulty, it may not allow hot water to flow to the heater core, which will result in no heat. You can check the heater control valve by turning on the heater and feeling the heater hoses. If the heater hoses are not hot, the heater control valve may be faulty and need to be replaced.
- Heater core: The heater core is a small radiator located behind the dashboard that heats the air that flows through the heater vents. If the heater core is clogged or damaged, it may not be able to heat the air properly. You can check the heater core by turning on the heater and feeling the air coming out of the vents. If the air is not hot, the heater core may be faulty and need to be replaced.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to take your car to a mechanic to have it diagnosed and repaired.
