1. The thermostat in a 1993 Mazda 929 is located on the front of the engine, just below the upper radiator hose.
2. It is held in place by two bolts.
3. To remove the thermostat, simply loosen the bolts and lift it out.
4. Be careful not to spill any coolant when you do this.
5. To replace the thermostat, simply insert the new one into the housing and tighten the bolts.
6. Be sure to use a new gasket between the thermostat and the housing.
