How do you replace power steering belt on a 94 Mazda mx3 1.6L?

Replacing the Power Steering Belt on a 1994 Mazda MX3 1.6L

Tools Needed:

- Screwdriver

- Wrench

- Pliers

- New power steering belt

Procedure:

1. Park your Mazda MX3 on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

2. Open the hood of your car.

3. Locate the power steering belt. It is located near the front of the engine,

running between the power steering pump and the crankshaft pulley.

4. Using the screwdriver, remove the upper bolt holding the power steering pump to its mounting bracket.

5. Loosen the lower bolt on the power steering pump using the wrench.

6. Use the pliers to pry the power steering belt off the pulleys.

7. Take the old power steering belt out of the car and discard it.

8. Wrap the new power steering belt around the pulleys.

9. Tighten the lower bolt on the power steering pump using the wrench.

10. Tighten the upper bolt holding the power steering pump to its mounting bracket using the screwdriver.

11. Start your engine and let it run for a few minutes to test the new power steering belt.
