1. Turn on the headlights. The fog lights can only be turned on if the headlights are already turned on.
2. Locate the fog light switch. On the Jetta, the fog light switch is located on the dashboard, to the left of the steering wheel.
3. Turn on the fog lights. The fog lights will turn on when you press the fog light switch.
4. Verify the fog lights are turned on. You should see the fog light indicator light turn on on your dashboard. There are also two bright lights low and to the outside corners of the front of the car.
Here are some additional tips for using your fog lights:
- Use fog lights only when visibility is poor. Fog lights are designed to help you see in foggy weather, but they can be dangerous if used in clear weather.
- When using fog lights, reduce your speed and drive carefully. Fog can make it difficult to see other vehicles and pedestrians.
- Turn off your fog lights when you are finished driving in fog. Fog lights can be distracting to other drivers.
