2. Locate the black square panel containing the hood release lever to the left of your steering column.
3. Feel for the rectangular door release lever directly above the hood release lever.
4. Pull the door release lever upward and swing it to either side.
5. Squeeze the hood release lever all the way to the left and release it.
6. Exit your car and walk to the front of it.
7. Locate the hood latch at the front center top of your hood.
8. Lift up the hood latch with your right hand.
9. Lift up the hood with your left hand and slide it upwards.
