1. Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the odometer reset button for five seconds.
3. While still holding the odometer reset button, turn the key to the OFF position.
4. Release the odometer reset button.
5. Turn the key back to the ON position.
6. The check engine light should be reset.
If the check engine light is still on after following these steps, you should take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis.
