Who invented the engine?

There is no singular inventor of the engine, as it is a product of many contributions and developments over time. The concept of an engine can be traced back to the ancient Greeks who created steam-powered devices called aeolipiles. During the 17th century, significant advancements were made by inventors such as Thomas Savery, Thomas Newcomen, and James Watt, who developed and refined the steam engine.
