Locate the fuel injector rail: Typically, the fuel injector rail is situated on top of the engine. It is a usually metal bar with multiple connectors or injector solenoids attached to it.
Check for power at the injectors:
1. Turn on the ignition key to the "On" position without cranking the engine.
2. Locate the electrical connectors on the fuel injector rail. These connectors provide power to the fuel injectors.
3. Use a multimeter or a test light set to the voltage setting and connect the positive (red) probe to the positive terminal of one of the injector connectors. Connect the negative (black) probe to a good grounding point on the engine.
4. If the multimeter reads a voltage value (usually around 12 volts) or if the test light illuminates when the ignition is on, it indicates that there's power being supplied to the fuel injectors.
5. Repeat this step for each fuel injector connector to ensure all injectors are receiving power.
If there's no voltage or the test light doesn't illuminate at any of the injector connectors, there may be an issue with the power supply to the injectors or a faulty electrical component in the fuel injection system.
In case you suspect that there is no power to the fuel injectors, further diagnosis may be required to trace the electrical circuit responsible for supplying power to them. This might involve checking relays, fuses, wiring, or consulting the vehicle's technical documentation for specific instructions related to the fuel injection system.
