Note: Ensure the car is parked safely and in a well-lit area before beginning the repair. Jack the car up and secure it with jack stands.
1. Remove the lug nuts. Use a lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.
2. Remove the wheels. Use a car jack to lift the front of the car off the ground. Remove the lug nuts and take the wheels off.
3. Remove the caliper. Unbolt the two bolts holding the caliper in place. Gently pry the caliper off the rotor if it is stuck.
4. Remove the rotor. Slide the rotor off the hub. If it is stuck, you may need to tap it with a hammer to loosen it.
5. Install the new rotor. Slide the new rotor onto the hub. Ensure it is seated correctly and flush against the hub.
6. Reinstall the caliper. Bolt the caliper back in place. Tighten the bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
7. Reinstall the wheels. Put the wheels back on and loosely tighten the lug nuts. Lower the car until the front wheels are on the ground. Tighten the lug nuts fully.
