Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery. To do this, use the 10mm wrench to loosen the negative terminal clamp, and then remove the clamp from the battery terminal.
2. Locate the starter. The starter is located under the truck, near the transmission. It is a cylindrical object with a solenoid attached to it.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the starter. To do this, use the flat-head screwdriver to pry open the tabs on the connectors, and then pull the connectors off of the starter posts.
4. Remove the starter bolts. There are two bolts that hold the starter in place. Use the 14mm wrench to loosen the bolts, and then remove the bolts with the 14mm socket.
5. Remove the starter. Once the bolts are removed, you can remove the starter from the vehicle by lifting it up and out of the engine bay.
6. Install the new starter. To do this, insert the new starter into the engine bay, and then replace the bolts. Tighten the bolts with the 14mm socket and wrench.
7. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the starter.
8. Reconnect the battery. To do this, place the negative terminal clamp back onto the battery terminal and tighten it with the 10mm wrench.
9. Test the starter. Try starting the truck to make sure that the new starter is working properly.
