1. Locate the fuel pressure regulator. It is usually located on the fuel rail, which is a metal bar that runs along the top of the engine.
2. Remove the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator. This will allow the fuel pressure to bleed off.
3. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will help to further reduce the fuel pressure.
4. Turn off the engine and wait for a few minutes. This will allow the fuel pressure to dissipate completely.
5. Reconnect the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator.
6. Start the engine and check for leaks. If there are no leaks, the fuel system pressure should be relieved.
