Instructions:
1. Open the hood of the truck and locate the fuel filter. It is usually located on the driver's side of the engine, near the fuel line.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid electrical sparks during the process.
3. Use the fuel line disconnect tool to disconnect the fuel lines from the filter. Be careful not to spill any fuel.
4. Place a rag under the fuel filter to catch any drips.
5. Use the flat head screwdriver to pry open the retaining clips that hold the fuel filter in place.
6. Slide the old filter out of the bracket.
7. Inspect the filter for dirt or debris. If the filter is dirty, it should be replaced.
8. Insert the new filter into the bracket and make sure that it is properly seated.
9. Reinstall the retaining clips.
10. Connect the fuel lines to the filter.
11. Reinstall the negative battery terminal.
12. Start the engine and check for any leaks.
