The oil sump plug is located on the bottom of the oil sump, which is the lowest part of the engine.
- To access it, you will need to crawl under the car.
- The plug is usually a 17mm bolt, and it can be removed with a wrench.
- Be careful not to drop the bolt into the oil sump, as it can be difficult to retrieve.
- Once the plug is removed, the oil will begin to drain out of the sump.
- Allow all of the oil to drain out before replacing the plug.
- When reinstalling the plug, be sure to tighten it securely.
For Z series engines (3.2 V6)
The oil sump plug is located on the front of the engine, just below the oil filter.
- To access it, you may need to remove the underbody panel.
- The plug is a 19mm bolt, and it can be removed with a wrench.
- Be careful not to drop the bolt into the engine, as it can be difficult to retrieve.
- Once the plug is removed, the oil will begin to drain out of the sump.
- Allow all of the oil to drain out before replacing the plug.
- When reinstalling the plug, be sure to tighten it securely.
