* 10mm socket and wrench
* 14mm socket and wrench
* Oil drain pan
* New transmission oil filter (Nissan part number 31726-1XZ0A)
* Funnel
* Transmission fluid (Nissan Matic D)
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Raise the front of the car using a jack and stands.
3. Locate the transmission oil drain plug on the bottom of the transmission pan. Place the oil drain pan under the drain plug and remove the plug. Allow the old oil to drain completely.
4. Reinstall the drain plug and remove the transmission oil filter.
5. Clean the transmission oil filter housing and the O-ring seal. Apply a thin coat of new transmission fluid to the O-ring.
6. Install the new oil filter with the provided bolt, and the tighten the drain plug.
7. Connect the battery’s negative terminal and remove the jack stands.
8. Fill the transmission with 3.3 liters of new transmission fluid, and use a funnel to pour the fluid slowly.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, shift through all the gears and then check the transmission fluid level with the dipstick to make sure it’s between the upper (MAX) and lower (MIN) marks on the dipstick. Add more fluid if necessary if it is below the MIN line. Ensure not to overfill, so only remove small amount until its within normal levels if its above them.
Remember that your transmission holds less than 5 liters/quarts, about 3 or so.
