Mitsubishi Chariot 1989 transmission oil change?

Tools and materials needed:

- New transmission fluid (check your vehicle's owner's manual for the correct type and quantity)

- A drain pan

- A funnel

- A wrench

- A rags

Instructions:

1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and make sure the engine is off.

2. Engage the parking brake.

3. Locate the transmission oil pan under the vehicle.

4. Place the drain pan under the transmission oil pan.

5. Loosen the drain plug and drain the old fluid into the drain pan.

6. Tighten the drain plug.

7. Locate the transmission oil fill hole on the side of the transmission. It might have a dipstick attached.

8. With the help of a funnel, add the new transmission fluid into the fill hole.

9. Check the fluid level with the transmission dipstick. The fluid level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.

10. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

11. Shift the transmission through all the gears, stopping in each gear for a few seconds.

12. Check for any leaks.
