Who made the W16 engine?

The W16 engine was designed and developed by Volkswagen Group. It is a 16-cylinder internal combustion engine with a W-shaped cylinder arrangement, which means two banks of eight cylinders are set at a 15° angle to each other. The W16 engine was first used in the Bugatti Veyron sports car, which was produced from 2005 to 2015. It is also used in the Bugatti Chiron, which was introduced in 2016.
