Where is the crankshaft sensor on a 98 Dodge Intrepid?

The crankshaft sensor on a 1998 Dodge Intrepid is located on the back of the engine, above the oil pan. It is held in place by two bolts and has a single electrical connector. The sensor is responsible for detecting the position of the crankshaft and sending a signal to the engine control unit (ECU), which uses the information to control the timing of the spark plugs and fuel injectors.
