- New transmission oil (Dexron III)

Instructions:
1. Put safety glasses.
2. Park your car on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
3. Get under the car and locate the transmission sump. It is a black metal pan located underneath the transmission.
4. Place the oil drain pan under the transmission sump.
5. Using a 10mm socket, loosen the bolts securing the transmission sump to the transmission, Remove the bolts one by one and allow the transmission oil to drain into the drain pan.
6. Once the transmission oil has completely drained, clean the transmission sump and gasket mating surfaces with a rag. Then install a new sump gasket.
7. Reinstall the sump using new bolts. Tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern to 12 Nm (9 ft-lbs).
8. Locate the transmission fluid filler tube. It is usually marked with a yellow or orange cap.
9. Remove the filler cap and insert the funnel.
10. Pour the new transmission fluid into the funnel until it reaches the "FULL" mark on the dipstick.
11. Replace the filler cap and start your car. Let it run for a few minutes to circulate the new transmission oil.
12. Check the transmission fluid level again and add more if necessary.
13. Lower the vehicle and dispose of the old transmission oil and filter properly.
