What is SPL horsepower?

Sound Pressure Level (SPL) is not directly related to horsepower, which is usually used to measure an engine's power output. SPL horsepower is not a scientifically or commonly accepted term in engineering. However, SPL or Sound Pressure Level does measure acoustic intensity or the perceived loudness of sound in units of decibels (dB).
