1. Ensure the vehicle is turned off and in a safe location.
2. Locate the fuel tank. The fuel tank is typically located under the rear seat of the Contour.
3. Locate the access panel. There will be an access panel on the bottom of the fuel tank.
4. Remove the access panel. You may need a screwdriver or other tool to remove the access panel.
5. Locate the fuel pump. The fuel pump will be located inside the access panel. It is usually attached to the bottom of the fuel tank.
6. Disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors. You may need a wrench or pliers to disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors.
7. Remove the fuel pump. Once the fuel lines and electrical connectors are disconnected, you can remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
