1. Disconnect the battery. This will help to prevent any electrical shorts or injuries while you're working.
2. Locate the factory stereo's speaker wires. These are typically located behind the stereo or under the passenger seat.
3. Connect the LOC's input wires to the factory stereo's speaker wires. Be sure to connect the positive wire to the positive terminal and the negative wire to the negative terminal.
4. Connect the LOC's output wires to the subwoofer's input wires. Again, be sure to connect the positive wire to the positive terminal and the negative wire to the negative terminal.
5. Connect the LOC's ground wire to a metal surface in the car.
6. Connect a 12-volt power wire from the car battery to the LOC's remote turn-on wire.
7. Reconnect the battery.
Option 2: Using a High-Level Input (HLI) Module
1. Disconnect the battery. This will help to prevent any electrical shorts or injuries while you're working.
2. Locate the factory stereo's speaker wires. These are typically located behind the stereo or under the passenger seat.
3. Connect the HLI module's input wires to the factory stereo's speaker wires. Be sure to connect the positive wire to the positive terminal and the negative wire to the negative terminal.
4. Connect the HLI module's output wires to the subwoofer's input wires. Again, be sure to connect the positive wire to the positive terminal and the negative wire to the negative terminal.
5. Connect the HLI module's ground wire to a metal surface in the car.
6. Connect a 12-volt power wire from the car battery to the HLI module's remote turn-on wire.
7. Reconnect the battery.
