1. Check the engine oil level and add more if necessary.
2. Make sure the gas cap is properly tightened.
3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for at least 15 minutes and reconnect it.
4. Drive the vehicle for at least 15 minutes to allow the engine to relearn its parameters.
5. If the light is still on after following these steps, you may need to have the vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to identify and fix the underlying problem.
