1. The crankshaft position sensor is located on the front of the engine, near the bottom of the oil filter housing.
2. It is held in place by two bolts.
3. To access the sensor, remove the engine undertray and the plastic splash shield.
4. The sensor is a small, black cylindrical object with a wire connector on one end.
5. To replace the sensor, disconnect the wire connector and remove the two bolts.
6. Pull the sensor out of the hole in the engine block.
7. Install the new sensor in the reverse order of removal.
Note: The crankshaft position sensor is a critical component of the engine management system. If it is not working properly, the engine will not start or will run poorly. If you are experiencing any problems with your engine, it is important to have the crankshaft position sensor checked.
