Instructions:
1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and remove the negative battery cable.
3. Locate the alternator. It is located on the front of the engine, on the passenger side.
4. Remove the serpentine belt. To do this, you will need to use the belt tensioner tool to loosen the tension on the belt. Once the belt is loose, you can remove it by hand.
5. Remove the wires that are connected to the alternator. There are two wires: a positive wire and a negative wire. The positive wire is usually red, and the negative wire is usually black.
6. Remove the mounting bolts that hold the alternator in place. There are usually two or three bolts.
7. Remove the alternator from the engine.
8. Install the new alternator. To do this, simply reverse the steps that you took to remove the old alternator.
9. Tighten the mounting bolts.
10. Reconnect the wires that you removed.
11. Reinstall the serpentine belt.
12. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
13. Start the engine and check for leaks.
