- Replacement fuel gauge sending unit: Make sure you have the correct sending unit for your specific model and year of Bronco.
- 10mm socket and wrench: You will need this to remove the bolts that hold the fuel tank in place.

Step 2: Prepare Your Vehicle

- Park your Bronco on a level surface and set the parking brake.
- Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable. This will help to prevent any electrical shocks while you are working on the fuel tank.
Step 3: Remove the Fuel Tank
- Locate the fuel tank. The fuel tank is located under the rear of the Bronco, behind the axle.
- Remove the bolts that hold the fuel tank in place. There will be two or four bolts, depending on the model of your Bronco.

- Pull the fuel gauge sending unit out of the fuel tank. Be careful not to damage the fuel tank.
Step 6: Install the New Fuel Gauge Sending Unit
- Insert the new fuel gauge sending unit into the fuel tank. Be careful not to damage the fuel tank.
- Install the screws that hold the fuel gauge sending unit in place. Tighten the screws until they are snug.
Step 7: Reinstall the Fuel Tank
- Place the fuel tank back into the Bronco. Make sure that the fuel tank is seated properly.
- Install the bolts that hold the fuel tank in place. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.
- Reinstall the fuel tank lock ring. Use a new gasket for the fuel tank lock ring.
- Reconnect the fuel lines. Use the fuel line disconnect tool to connect the fuel lines to the fuel tank.
Step 8: Test the Fuel Gauge
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
- Turn on the engine. The fuel gauge should indicate that the fuel tank is full.
Step 9: Road Test the Vehicle
- Take the Bronco for a road test. The fuel gauge should work properly.
