1. The fuel filter on a 1999 Tahoe is located under the truck, near the fuel tank.
2. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with two fuel lines attached to it.
Remove the fuel filter.
1. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the fuel lines to the fuel filter.
2. Be careful not to spill any fuel.
3. Once the nuts are loose, pull the fuel lines off of the fuel filter.
4. Remove the old fuel filter from the truck.
Install the new fuel filter.
1. Place the new fuel filter in the truck.
2. Reattach the fuel lines to the fuel filter.
3. Tighten the nuts that hold the fuel lines to the fuel filter.
4. Start the truck and check for leaks.
