Detailed Instructions:
._Disconnect the battery_ - This will prevent any electrical damage from occurring while you are working on the engine.
._Remove the engine's front cover_ - There are several bolts and screws that hold this in place, so you will need a socket set and a wrench to remove them.
._Locate the timing chain_ - It is located on the front of the engine, and it is connected to the camshafts and the crankshaft.
._Loosen the timing chain tensioner_ - This will make it easier to remove the timing chain.
._Remove the timing chain_ - To do this, you will need to use a timing chain removal tool.
._Install the new timing chain_ - Make sure that the new chain is routed correctly, and then tighten the timing chain tensioner.
._Reinstall the engine's front cover_ - Tighten all of the bolts and screws that you loosened when you removed the cover.
._Reconnect the battery_ - This will restore electrical power to the engine.
._Start the engine and check the timing_ - This can be done by using a timing light. Make sure that the timing marks are aligned correctly.
