Tools Needed:
Socket Wrench Set.
Flat-Head Screwdriver.
1. Park your Maxima on a level surface, turn off the engine, and apply the parking brake.

2. Open the hood of your Maxima.
>
3. Locate the crankshaft position sensor. It is usually located on the front of the engine block, near the crankshaft.
>
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the crankshaft position sensor.
>
5. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the bolt holding the crankshaft position sensor in place.
>
6. Remove the old crankshaft position sensor from the engine block.
>
7. Install the new crankshaft position sensor by inserting it into the engine block and aligning the bolt hole.
>
8. Tighten the bolt to secure the crankshaft position sensor in place.
>
9. Reconnect the electrical connector to the crankshaft position sensor.
>
10. Start the engine and check for proper function.
