How do you remove the crankshaft pulley on a 1992 Geo Tracker with broken timing belt?

To remove the crankshaft pulley on a 1992 Geo Tracker with a broken timing belt, you will need the following tools:

-Breaker bar

-Ratchet

-19mm socket

-32mm socket

-Impact wrench (optional)

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.

2.Locate the crankshaft pulley on the front of the engine. It is a large, round metal disc connected to the crankshaft.

3. Loosen the four 19mm bolts that hold the pulley in place. Do not remove the bolts completely.

4. Insert the breaker bar into one of the bolt holes and pry against the frame of the vehicle to break the pulley loose. You may need to use an impact wrench to loosen the pulley.

5. Once the pulley is loose, remove the four bolts and lift off the pulley.

6. Inspect the pulley for damage. If it is damaged, you will need to replace it.

7. Reinstall the pulley in the reverse order of removal.

8. Tighten the bolts to 25 ft-lb.

9.Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
