NOTE: Brake light bulbs are part of the tail lamp assembly on this model.
1. Turn off the engine and parking brake: Safely put your car in park, turn the engine off, and apply the parking brake.
2. Locate the taillight assembly: Open the rear liftgate and locate the taillight assembly on either side of the vehicle. Remove the trunk lining cover to access the tail lamp assembly if necessary.
3. Remove the tail light assembly: Remove the tail light assembly by unscrewing the mounting bolts or screws that hold it in place.
4. Access the brake light bulb: Once the taillight assembly is removed, you should see the brake light bulb socket. Carefully twist and remove the bulb from its socket.
5. Replace the bulb: Insert the new brake light bulb into the socket and twist it clockwise until it is securely in place.
6. Reattach the tail light assembly: Reattach the tail light assembly by replacing and securing the mounting bolts or screws.
7. Test the brake light: Switch on the ignition, step on the brake pedal, and check if the new brake light bulb is functioning properly.
8. Repeat on the other side (if necessary): If both brake lights are not working, repeat the process on the other side of the vehicle to replace the faulty brake light bulb.
