Materials:
- New fuel filter
- Fuel line
- Fuel injector cleaner
1. Locate the fuel filter. It is located under the car between the gas tank and the fuel injector.
2. Disconnect the fuel line. Use pliers to remove the clamp holding the fuel line to the filter.
3. Remove the filter. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the filter to the bracket.
4. Install the new filter. Insert the new filter into the bracket and tighten the screws.
5. Reconnect the fuel line. Attach the fuel line to the filter and secure the clamp.
6. Start the car and check for leaks. Look for any leaks around the fuel filter. If there are no leaks, the fuel filter has been successfully replaced.
