The transmission fluid on a 1991 Mazda 121 is added through the dipstick tube.

1. Make sure the engine is warm but not running.

2. Find the dipstick next to the intake manifold.

3. Pull out the dipstick, wipe the fluid off and inspect it.

4. If the fluid level is low add Dexron III or Mercon fluid to the dipstick tube.
