Materials Needed:
- Mini lights
- Wire cutters
- Wire strippers
- Electrical tape
- Soldering iron
- Solder
- Cigarette lighter adapter
Instructions:
1. Remove the dash panel:
- Locate the screws holding the dash panel in place and remove them.
- Carefully pry the dash panel off, taking care not to damage any wires or components.
2. Find a power source:
- Locate the cigarette lighter adapter in the vehicle. This will be the power source for your mini lights.
3. Connect the wires:
- Cut the wire from the cigarette lighter adapter, leaving enough length to reach the mini lights.
- Strip the ends of the wires.
- Connect the positive wire from the cigarette lighter adapter to the positive terminal of the mini lights.
- Connect the negative wire from the cigarette lighter adapter to the negative terminal of the mini lights.
4. Solder the connections:
- Use a soldering iron to solder the connections between the wires and the mini lights.
- Make sure the connections are secure.
5. Insulate the connections:
- Use electrical tape to insulate the connections.
6. Replace the dash panel:
- Carefully replace the dash panel, making sure that all the screws are secure.
7. Test the mini lights:
- Plug the cigarette lighter adapter into the vehicle's power outlet.
- The mini lights should light up.
Additional Tips:
- If you want the mini lights to come on with the headlights, you can connect the positive wire to the headlight switch instead of the cigarette lighter adapter.
- You can also add a dimmer switch to control the brightness of the mini lights.
