2. Locate the headlight bulb. The headlight bulb is located on the back of the headlight assembly. It is usually held in place by a spring or a retaining ring.
3. Remove the headlight bulb. If the headlight bulb is held in place by a spring, simply pry the spring loose with a screwdriver. If the headlight bulb is held in place by a retaining ring, use a pair of pliers to remove the retaining ring.
4. Insert the new headlight bulb. Make sure that the new headlight bulb is properly seated in the socket.
5. Reattach the spring or retaining ring. If the headlight bulb was held in place by a spring, simply pry the spring back into place. If the headlight bulb was held in place by a retaining ring, use a pair of pliers to reattach the retaining ring.
6. Close the hood.
