1. Locate the OBD-II port. It typically be located under the dash on the driver’s side.
2. Plug the OBD-II scanner into the port.
3. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
4.Scroll through the scanner menu until you find the “Check Engine Light Reset” option.
5. Select the option and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Once the light has been reset turn the engine on.
7. Check to make sure the light is off.
If the Check Engine Light comes back on after resetting it, there may be a more serious issue that needs to be addressed. It’s important to have the car checked by qualified technician if the Check Engine Light comes back on.
