* 3/8-inch drive ratchet
* Socket set (metric and standard)
* Hex key set
* Torx bit set
* Flat-head screwdriver
* Phillips-head screwdriver
* Pry bar
* Hammer
* Gasket scraper
* RTV silicone sealant
* New intake manifold gasket
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the upper intake manifold bolts and nuts.
4. Disconnect the fuel injector wiring harness and vacuum lines.
5. Remove the upper intake manifold.
6. Remove the old intake manifold gasket.
7. Clean the intake manifold and cylinder head surfaces.
8. Apply a thin coat of RTV silicone sealant to the intake manifold gasket.
9. Install the new intake manifold gasket.
10. Reinstall the upper intake manifold.
11. Reinstall the intake manifold bolts and nuts.
12. Reconnect the fuel injector wiring harness and vacuum lines.
13. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly.
14. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
Torque Specifications:
* Intake manifold bolts: 12-15 ft-lb
* Fuel injector bolts: 89 in-lb
* Vacuum line nuts: 10-12 ft-lb
Tips:
* Be careful not to drop any bolts or nuts into the engine.
* Use a new intake manifold gasket.
* Apply a thin coat of RTV silicone sealant to the intake manifold gasket.
* Tighten the intake manifold bolts and nuts in a criss-cross pattern.
