Instructions:
1. Park your car on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
2. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical accidents from happening while you're working.
3. Remove the fan belt. Loosen the bolts holding the fan belt in place and then slip it off the fan pulley.
4. Remove the power steering pump. There are two bolts holding the power steering pump in place. Loosen these bolts and then remove the pump from the vehicle.
5. Install the replacement power steering pump. Place the new pump in the same position as the old one and secure it with the two bolts.
6. Reconnect the fan belt. Slip the fan belt back onto the fan pulley and tighten the bolts that hold it in place.
7. Reconnect the battery.
8. Fill the power steering fluid reservoir with new fluid. The reservoir is located on the side of the engine. Add enough fluid to bring it up to the "full" mark.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will allow the new fluid to circulate through the system.
10. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and then to the right. This will help to bleed air out of the system.
Test the power steering system. Drive the car for a short distance and check for any leaks. The power steering should work smoothly and without any noise.
