1. Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Locate the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) connector under the dash on the driver's side. It is a black plastic connector with a yellow or white cover.
3. Remove the cover from the DTC connector.
4. Connect a jumper wire between the "ST" and "GND" terminals of the DTC connector. The "ST" terminal is the second terminal from the left on the top row, and the "GND" terminal is the third terminal from the left on the bottom row.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the "Off" position.
6. Wait for 10 seconds.
7. Turn the ignition switch back to the "On" position.
8. The DTC codes should now be cleared.
You can also clear codes by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for at least 30 seconds.
